Science Project.......just the sound of it can make the strongest student weak in the knees! And admittedly, it can be a huge undertaking, but like most tasks that are not easy, it can be very rewarding.

The biggest hurdle is the first one, that of getting started. This site will hopefully help in this respect. The purpose of this site is to guide you through this 10-week journey. There is certainly more time that can be spent, and for some, much less time will be devoted to this assignment. But to gather the benefits for which this assignment was devised, don't shortchange your effort! This site will offer you some suggestions to assist you in your organization, some hints as to how to choose a topic, a timeline to guide you through, and much information about the project, its components, and how-to pages for writing an abstract and research paper. Teachers and students who are not affiliated with Fayette Co. High School, please feel free to use this site to your advantage, however the Calendar is specific to our local SEF. The 10-wk Timeline can apply to your specific fair date.

It will be a remarkable journey. You will become very knowledgeable about your topic, knowing more about it than you could ever imagine. For your research, you will be the expert!
